About Us
Our mission is to provide accurate advice at reasonable rates.  At the Law Office of Michael P. O'Connor we only handle foreign-filed waiver of inadmissibility for the spouse or fiance(e)s of a US citizen as well as most family-based cases. We are not certified by the Board of Legal Specialization because it is not worthwhile for us to spend our time working in other areas of Immigration Law in order to achieve the requirement of "regular and substantial involvement" which is a prerequisite to obtaining the Legal Specialization certificate.

The Law Office of Michael P. O'Connor is a general partnership.  Michael O'Connor is the principal attorney at this law firm and his practice is limited to the practice of US Nationality and Immigration Law.  In 1986 he received his Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Florida.  In 1989 he received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law.  He is admitted to the Bars of Pennsylvania, Texas and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Legal Fees For Waivers

(For information on Waivers click here.)

Quality professional services are expensive.  Our legal fees are a reflection of our experience and reputation as well as the level of difficulty for the case.  Please click here for a list of government application fees and click here for our legal fees.

A typical waiver case without complications takes approximately 10 supervising attorney hours, 25 associate attorney hours, 15 paralegal hours and 8 support staff hours.  Our flat fee for an uncomplicated waiver case is $7500.  Complications, such as criminal history, misrepresentation or a prior denied asylum claim, will increase the cost.

An extended list of our rates for complications and other types of cases is available.

Legal Fees For Family Based Petitions

Our office fee is $3,200.
